Tilda Swinton - please contact me!!

Let me start by saying I love this actress! She was in my favorite movie of all time "Orlando". Being a redhead myself I have always felt a bit of kinship toward this woman. I never watch the Academy Awards but this past Sunday I tuned in. What I witnessed was a bit frightful! There she was in all her ginger haired glory accepting the "award" of all awards for acting without a stitch of makeup and what amounted to a black velour sack for a dress. Black is such a harsh color on our milky white skin and even more so when we have zero color on our face or lips. I can only hope that a stylist can help Tilda polish her look so it reflects the true beauty that she is. I would love to do it myself as I have had a lot of experience styling redheads. So Ms Swinton, if you read this..... please contact me!

Leopard Print

I love leopard print, I always have. For me it is a neutral. I find it as classy today as I did upon discovering it twenty years ago. Not everyone understands my love for this pattern but for me it will always represent the utmost in sophistication. Leopard can be seen throughout my life, from the cloth on the wooden shades in my office, the leopard chair and ottoman in my living room, to the clothing I wear. It has become my signature pattern and will always be near and dear to my heart.

Mockingbird

A glorious mockingbird comes to me in the very early hours of the morning. He has visited for more than a month now and gently taps on the window near my bed often waking me from sleep. After several weeks of talking about this daily occurrence, my husband suspected I was losing it, until he had the chance to witness this magnificent creature for himself. I refer to him as "my Bird". After doing a bit of research on the Internet, I discovered the meaning behind this sacred visit. The mockingbirds message is to find your sacred song or life's purpose and to aid in the realization of your inner talents. He teaches to follow one's own path and to do so without fear. People with a mockingbird totem are known for their talents. My bird brings a little smile and a lot of joy to my day and I wanted to share him with the world.

Creativity

My creativity is elusive. My best ideas often come to me in dreams. It seems when I stop trying to be creative, creativity comes through me. In my dreams my imagination is allowed to dance on moonbeams with no limits. It is during this dance that the artist comes to life. I only wish I had more control over the process. Yet when I try and control this magic, it often slips away. It seems as if I am trying to capture the wind.
